Phil G. Cardis, J.D.


Phil Cardis has been a principal at Avid Ratings since 2006 and is currently functioning as the company's Chief Revenue Officer & General Counsel. Since their inception, Avid Ratings has helped thousands of construction companies’ measure, understand, and digitally promote their organizations’ customer loyalty and increase company profitability. Avid was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Construction Technology Firms in 2015 and was named Best Product in Residential Construction by Constructech Magazine in 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

The Avid Team provides North America’s foremost home buyer survey and customer engagement programs focused on the residential construction industry. Working with a multitude of leading home builders throughout North America, Avid’s clients regularly receive the highest ratings and awards given for customer satisfaction on a local and national level. Phil's contributions have helped Avid grow its client list to well over 2000 homebuilders and he has positioned the company as a market leader in the industry.

Prior to working at Avid, Phil was a principal and founder of Cardis & Associates LLC, where he provided legal representation for real estate related businesses. Before that, Mr. Cardis served as in house counsel for the Wisconsin Legislature.

Phil is a member of several local and national real estate organizations. In addition, he's a frequent speaker on a variety of topics ranging from real estate, sales and marketing, social media to sales, brand protection/reputation management, customer measurement and engagement, and on a litany of legal issues prevalent in today’s real estate markets throughout North America.

Phil holds a law degree from the University of Minnesota and a degree in sociology from Luther College in Iowa.


Camille Nesbitt


Camille Nesbitt is Vice President of National Customer Relations for Meritage Homes Corporation. Camille oversees the organizations customer satisfaction rating, national warranty program, customer advocacy initiatives and companywide customer relations training programs. Her tenure with Meritage Homes began in 2001 as warranty manager for their Phoenix division and over the last 15 years has evolved to her corporate position, created to encompass her talents and strengths. Under her leadership, Meritage Homes boast a customer satisfaction rating above 90%, has received numerous Avid awards including the prestigious Diamond Award. 
With decade’s worth of industry experience and knowledge, Camille brings a real world approach to setting and delivering expectations. Camille’s creative approach to assisting buyers, colleagues, trade partners, sales and construction personnel through the often emotional journey of home construction and ownership has secured her place as a subject matter expert.  Camille’s leadership and speaking style has led to her becoming a sought after speaker. In addition to presenting each year at the Meritage Homes Leadership conference and the 2015 Avid Ratings conference, she has shared the stage with Jeff Shore key note speaker, author and consultant.  
Camille is a licensed realtor, member of the BBB Accredited Business Advancement Taskforce and “Off the Field” NFL players’ wives association.   

Camille and her husband reside in Goodyear, Arizona. 


Dennis Palmer

VP of Operations. AV Homes, Inc.(Attended Arizona State University)

Mr. Palmer has worked within the Arizona homebuilding industry for 34 years. He began his career with Presley Homes, serving as VP of Construction, and then spent 11 years with Engle Homes as VP of Operations.  He joined Joseph Carl Homes, prior to its acquisition by AV Homes, in May of 2009 as VP of Operations.

Paul Cardis founded Avid Ratings in 1992 and Avid Ratings Canada in 2003. Since its inception, Avid Ratings has helped thousands of home building companies’ measure, understand, and change their organizations to improve customer loyalty and increase company profitability.

Working with over 2000 leading homebuilders, Avid’s clients dominate the ratings and awards given in customer satisfaction on a local and national level. Paul’s contributions to the industry are highly regarded by his peers. Paul has published over 150 articles in leading print magazines and authored the cover stories for Professional Builder magazine in November 2007, November 2006, November 2005, October 2004, and September 2003 on customer satisfaction. Paul’s work has also been highlighted in the major media including, Time Magazine, Market Watch, MSN, Yahoo, Washington Post, AZ Central, Nation’s Building News, and hundreds of other websites, local newspapers, HBA newsletters, and local television broadcasts.


Paul is regular speaker at major residential construction industry events, including the NAHB International Builders' Show, BILD Toronto, Pacific Coast Builders Conference (PCBC), South East Building Conference (SEBC), Professional Builder Benchmark Conference, Builder 100 Conference, Big Builder and the Avid Conference®. He also conducts regular educational sessions for his clients, NAHB Builder 20 Clubs, and for private groups throughout North America.


Paul holds a Master’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Psychology-Human Development and a second Master’s Degree from the University of Northern Iowa in Educational Evaluation.
